Having peacefully retreated from the Sihlpapier factory on the eviction date, we seized the opportunity on our way to Plattenstrasse to unload our arsenal of assorted furniture pieces and trash art onto the forecourt of the state Art Museum Kunsthaus, where we settled down for three lovely midsummer days and nights and held heliotropic celebrations. To the director of the Kunsthaus, Dr. Becker, who turned crimson with fury, we explained that the police had sanctioned our spontaneous farewell party as a thank you for our cooperative withdrawal from the Sihlpapier factory. However, we did not limit our occupation to the forecourt but extended it over the spiritual superstructure of the Kunsthaus itself. In order to draw attention to the vague content of artworks on display in this institution, we modified the accompanying text to a running Lori Hersberger exhibition and distributed it as flyers to passersby.
